3/5/1770:
Boston Massacre
It was the killing of five colonists by the British soldiers. It was the culmination of civilian military tensions that had been growing since royal troops first came to their country in Massachusetts in October 1768 to enforce a tax burden.
5/10/1773:
tea act.
Parliment gave East India Company rights to sell tea directly to Americans. SOme duties on tea were reduced.
11/29/1773:
Boston tea party.
A handbill was posted over Boston and it said "Friends! Brethren! Countrymen!" The only thing worse than plagues was detested tea, which ws shiped by a company called East India Company.
6/2/1774:
Coercive Acts.
Government closed port to Boston. Restructured Massachusetts government. Restricted town meetings. Troops were quarted in Boston. British officials wer5e accused of crimes and sent to England or Canada for trial.
12/22/1775:
Prohibitory act.
were dclared British intention to coerce Americans into submission.
